When the creators of "Rick & Morty" launched a popular new game - "High on Life" - it featured a parody of Applebee’s within their game called “Space Applebee’s”. This put us not just in the gaming world, but in the middle of a massive and loyal fan base. We turned all our social channels otherworldly and entered the chats of Twitch streamers, got them to take a detour to Space Applebee’s, and then surprised them by dropping gift cards in the chat for them and their viewers to enjoy Applebee’s on Earth. Streamers loved it, leading to shoutouts on social media, more time spent and our virtual Space Applebee’s, and most importantly, more eatin’ good in the neighbourhood.
